Christ the King Anglican Church to host 70s-themed jazz festival

SOPHIATOWN – Join the Trevor Huddlestone Christ The King Parish for a spring jazz festival.

The Sophiatown parish of Christ the King Anglican Church will host a 70s-themed spring jazz festival on 3 September to raise funds for the church. The church is low on funds and needs to, among other responsibilities, maintain the church building.
The organisers of the festival, which will start at 2.30pm, plan to take advantage of the historical jazz-rich area the church is located in and are inviting Sophiatown’s jazz fanatics to enjoy a day of jazz with them. The dress code for the day includes bell bottoms, floral Afro shirts and Afro wigs.
The day will serve both as a fundraiser and an event to mark the beginning of spring.
