PLEASE NOTE: No 33 hour water outage until further notice
NORTHCLIFF – Residents breathe a sigh of relief as Johannesburg Water postpones 33-hour water outage.
The massive water outage which would have affected 23 areas for 33 hours has been postponed.
The announcement was made this morning (14 August) on the Johannesburg Water Facebook page. Although the outage has been postponed, it is unclear when it will take place in future.
The water giant has since apologised to residents within the 23 areas who have already made plans.
The reason for the postponement is unclear, however, Johannesburg Water has been experiencing challenges in the Roodepoort area which has been without water for the past two days.
While the 33-hour water outage will no longer be taking place on 15 and 16 August, residents should still brace themselves for when it happens.
