MUST READ: Power in Northcliff and surrounds expected to be back on by this afternoon

JOBURG – A circuit breaker seems to be the cause of the Northcliff power outage this morning.

Berario, Fairland, Northcliff, Blackheath, Emmarentia and surrounding areas were affected by a power outage this morning, 3 August.

The spokesperson for City Power, Sol Masolo, expects the power to be restored within six hours, with power likely to be restored by 4pm this afternoon.

“One of the circuit breakers at Roosevelt [Park] Substation blew up this morning causing power interruption that affected the areas,” Masolo said.

He explained that technicians are busy with repairs onsite.
