NORTH RIDING – We have great news to fill your Friday about Blackie and Brownie.

It’s official folks, Blackie and Brownie have finally found their forever home.

Today, 14 July, was a fantastic day for the staff of Randburg SPCA with not a dry eye in sight. The well-known and much loved Blackie and Brownie were collected by their new family.
Blackie and Brownie were surrendered by their previous owner Johnathan Plaajties from Melville. He made the brave decision to give his dogs a second chance at a better life.

Mark Eagles (13) fell instantly in love with the two boys when his mom took him to see them in the kennels. His mom originally came to look at a Yorkshire terrier but became infatuated by Brownie’s loving eyes.The home check was completed by Sandton SPCA which gave the go ahead to Randburg SPCA for the adoption.

Randburg SPCA management committee member, Charmaine Rowlands said, “It was one of the more special days here to finally see a happy ending for these dogs. The staff here took such good care of them, so to see them go to a ‘furever’ home was particularly special for all of us.”
Mark said, “I am so excited that I get to take these cute guys home, they have extra big beds, lots of blankets and tons of food.”
