School celebrates as a family

VICTORY PARK – King David Victory Park celebrates two primary school children.

The name of the game for King David Primary School Victory Park is good old fashioned nachas and celebrating as a family.

Nachas is a Yiddish word which means pride and joy. “It means you are happy and proud especially of someone’s accomplishments. And for most Jews the pride and joy from their children is the greatest blessing in life,” said Leeat Confait from the school.

The school experienced this after seeing former King David Nursery School and current primary school children Demi Cohen and Rio Immerman take part in the Cinderella theatre production at the People’s Theatre on 29 June.

“What an amazing show it was and for the learners to be able to see their peers and friends up onstage was a perfect example of how King David Victory Park all share in each other’s nachas.”

The school caters for nursery school level all the way through to matric and believes there is no child too young to celebrate. “All learners are important members of the Kind David family.”
