Free holiday club at the Northcliff Union Church

NORTHCLIFF – Children can expect to have a fun-filled week of activities at Northcliff Union Church.

Looking to keep your child busy through the coming school holidays?

Northcliff Union Church has the perfect solution with their free holiday club for children.

The church has been running the club for the past 15 years and it attracts about 300 children aged between six and 13 years old. This year the holiday club will run from 10 to 14 July.

Operations manager, Gary Taylor explained more and more parents found it a struggle to entertain their children.

“They would have either their domestic or have them be with their friends to look after them,” he said.

Taylor added that the week-long club was centred around great fun and was a place where children could be free. Activities are run by community teams. “These teams are run by 16 teenagers who live in the area,” said Taylor.

He explained that pre-teens tended to look at teenagers as their role models and were more willing to open up to them. “Millennials have a strong sense of worth to make a difference,” he said.

To have their children take part in this club, all parents have to do is drop their children at the church by 7.30am to collect at 12.30pm.

“Parents also have to register their child as security is very important,” said Taylor.
