No electro for DJ Phodii, African sounds only

RANDPARK RIDGE – I'm not sure if I'll be the odd one out but I just want to bring people into my world – DJ.

Phodiso ‘DJ Phodii’ Raboroko (18) will bring African sounds to the U19 Litty Street event in Sandton.

The young DJ who is studying at the Academy of Sound Engineering in Auckland Park will put what he has learned so far to the test for more than 1 000 teenagers.

The young DJ started making music when he was in primary school and draws most of his inspiration from South African DJ and producer, Black Coffee.

“I think most of the other DJs will be playing Electronic Dance Music while my stuff will have more local and tribal house sounds so I’m not sure if I’ll be the odd one out but I just want to bring people into my world,” Phodii said about his set list for Litty Street.

The event will take place on 1 July from 3pm to 2am at The Sands and it promises to be one not to be missed.
