Along with South Africa’s provincial teams, Zimbabwe will also be competing in the tournament.

The junior tournament will have about 400 children playing in the U12, U15 and U18 categories.

McCabe said spectators could look forward to action-packed games.

“There is never a dull moment in baseball,”

said McCabe, adding that last year Western Cape won in all age groups, making them the team to look out for.

“You never know in sports though, anything could happen on the field,” McCabe concluded.
