JOBURG – ANC supporters gather outside Luthuli House in support of President Jacob Zuma.

Hundreds of President Jacob Zuma supporters gathered at the African National Congress (ANC) headquarters, Luthuli House, in Johannesburg, to show their support for the president.

The #antizumamarch or #SaveSouthAfrica protest saw South Africans mobilise and come together to demand that Zuma step down as president of the country.

Outside the ANC headquarters, the ANC Youth League and uMkhonto weSizwe members opposed the march against the president as they demonstrated their support in large numbers, singing struggle songs and chanting that Zuma must be left alone.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) also led a massive march in Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, where supporters were addressed by DA leader Mmusi Maimane, who highlighted that all South Africans have to stand together, no matter their race, religion or party.

Maimane also mentioned that different parties have to come together to lead the revolution against Zuma.

He referred to 1994 and the spirit that has to be rekindled for South Africans to unite.
