“Every project has a CLO. It forms part of the City engaging with and involving communities.”

The primary role of the officer is to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of the project by assisting the contractor in providing relevant labour workers, whether skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled, to the project.

The responsibilities also include liaison with other service providers in the areas, facilitating the availability of local resources, compiling and updating the database of local resources, assisting in managing workers and reporting progress to City Parks and other stakeholders.

Importantly, the CLO needs to keep the contractor and City Parks aware of community affairs and dynamics.

The officer must be from Ward 88.

This includes Emmarentia, Montroux, Risidale, Roosevelt Park, Montgomery Park, Blackheath (south of Pendoring Road), Berario, East Town and Valeridene and Northcliff, north of Albert’s Farm.
