MILPARK – A serious accident involving a taxi and four vehicles happened on the corner of Barry Hertzhog Avenue and Empire Road in Milpark just before 7am on 7 February.
Spokesperson for Emer–G–Med, Max Cohen, said that on arrival, paramedics found that a taxi had collided with four other vehicles.
According to Cohen, the taxi’s brakes failed which led to the driver losing control and the vehicle overturning.
“A total of 13 people were injured in the collusion, all sustaining injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The patients were treated at the scene before being transported to various nearby facilities for further care.
Metro police were on the scene to determine the exact events leading up to the collision,” concluded Cohen.
