Futurelife’s generous donation

JOHANNESBURG – Food company, Futurelife gives a generous donation to the Johannesburg Child Welfare.

Food company, Futurelife has donated 10 000 boxes of its product to Johannesburg Child Welfare to be distributed to the various children’s homes that the organisation runs.

The company is known for its functional food made to improve the health and well-being of people through nutrition. The generous donation equates to 100 000 nutritious breakfast servings.

General manager in business and marketing of the company, David Sweidan said, “Breakfast is directly linked to a child’s ability to learn and thrive. It’s difficult for a child to reach their full potential academically or physically if they [go] to school hungry on a daily basis.

“Sadly, malnutrition is a massive problem in South Africa and children [five years old and younger] are the worst affected. Every child deserves to start the day with a healthy meal, and this gesture will ensure that these children enjoy that right.”

In 2014, Futurelife formed an NPO, the Futurelife Foundation to help assist in the creation of sustainable feeding programmes for disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

This feeding programme currently serves about 150 000 nutritious meals a month to South African children in need.
