DSJ sees success

PARKTOWN – The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg achieves a 100 per cent pass rate.

 

Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg’s Matric class of 2016 made the schule proud as they achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

The schule obtained a total of 132 distinctions with an average of 1.8 distinctions per candidate.

The total number of candidates who  wrote the final examination were 73, with 69 candidates receiving a Bachelor’s Degree pass. There were four candidates who obtained a Diploma pass.

One of the top achievers at the schule, Katja Eckstein, who was in the Kombi-Class, obtained nine distinctions and was in the National Top 1 per cent in History, Chemistry and German.

Fellow top achiever, Kim Krüger also achieved a stellar nine distinctions, while Rebecca Organ achieved eight distinctions.

Public relations manager, Savo Ceprnich said that this year’s Matric was the largest classes in the schules’s history and they definitely left their mark with the quality marks they obtained.

“The school is immensely proud of its standing as an institution of exceptional academic standards and the results from 2016 proved this to be correct.”

He added that they are confident that their learners leave the schule ready for the next chapter of their lives. “They have overcome their first major challenge and now it is time to take the next step on the path to success in the real world.”

He wished the Matriculants the best in their future endeavours and said he looks forward to welcoming them back to the schule, now was former learners.
