For centuries, the dog has been a companion and aid to blind people and throughout the ages, art and literature have placed the dog at the blind person’s side.
The main objective of the SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind is to improve the mobility, independence of action and overall well-being of visually impaired people and other persons with disabilities.
The association is urging the community to assist them with their wishlist and need the following items:
- Ā Baby gate
- Ā Water jugs for the house
- Ā Platters
- Ā Kong dog and cat toys (genuine large)
- Ā Scrubs for the puppy nursery
- Ā Fleece blankets
- Ā Pet toys
- Ā Various Rogz collars and leads.
