An on duty private security guard suffered a gunshot wounded on the evening of 8 December, during an attempted robbery at Bergbron Shopping Centre.
It has been reported that a gang of five to six men held up the shopping centre at about 7.35pm and pulled a trigger at one of the security guards.
It is unclear what the robbers made off with and there are conflicting reports of what their getaway vehicle looked like.
Questions related to the incident have been forwarded to Bergbron Shopping Centre.
Honeydew police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan is awaiting information from yesterday’s officers to confirm the incident.
