Community warned to be on lookout

BRIXTON – Brixton Police Station urges residents to be on the lookout for a wanted suspect implicated in various street robberies.

A warning has been issued by Brixton Police Station for residents to be on the lookout for a suspect implicated in various incidents of theft.

Spokesperson for the station, Jeanette Backhoff said that the male suspect could be linked to various street robberies and theft out of motor vehicles.

She explained that, about four months ago, the suspect broke the window of a blue Toyota Etios that was parked on 6th Avenue in Mayfair where he stole various items that were in the car.

Backhoff said the police believe the suspect is involved in other theft cases around the Brixton and Crosby area.

“We need the community’s assistance in this regard.” If the suspect is known or seen, residents are requested to contact the investigating officer, Constable Morake at Brixton Police Station on 079 290 4564 or 011 248 5513.
