Learn how to grow a water-wise garden

AUCKLAND PARK – Jane Griffiths will host an event that aims to teach the public how to grow an urban, water-wise garden.

Best-selling author, Jane Griffiths plans to show residents how they can grow a sustainable urban garden in their backyards.
The Auckland Park resident will host a day filled with insightful tips and tricks on 26 November on how to grow a flourishing garden.
Griffiths explained that with the current drought the country is faced with, residents want to make the most of the water they have without wasting the valuable resource.
The talk will be centred around the introduction to new gardening concepts with limited space. “People want to make the most of the water they have; that, coupled with limited space, could seem a difficult task,” said Griffiths.
She plans to demonstrate how to achieve a flourishing food garden in a limited space and also share some urban eco-living tips. “I want people to learn how they can maximise on space and on time and still achieve a sustainable food garden,” she said.
Guests will also be able to get-down-and-dirty and be one with nature. “We will have guests planting and making a very hands-on event for all to enjoy,” she concluded.
The event will be held at Jukskei Park and to attend, guests can contact Jane Griffiths on 082 898 6953.
