Brixton Police Station recently urged community members to report all crimes to their nearest police station.
Spokesperson for Brixton Police Station, Jeanette Backhoff, said that all crimes must be reported to the police station situated in the area where the incident happened.
“Some cases are not reported due to the fact that people don’t have insurance and therefore can’t claim for stolen or damaged property,” explained Backhoff. She added that if these cases are not reported, possible links to other cases are not made and the perpetrators remain at large.
Therefore it is of utmost importance that all crimes committed are reported so that it is a true reflection of what is happening and where it is happening in each and every policing area.
