Sleepless in Blaigowrie

BLAIRGOWRIE – A resident wakes up to find an intruder in her house.

A woman was robbed in her home early Friday morning.

At about 4am the resident woke up to a peculiar noise in her bedroom. As she was getting up she heard a voice say, ‘Keep quiet or I will shoot’.

Linden police spokesperson, Captain Walter Spencer said after the robber threatened the Blairgowrie resident, he quickly left the premises. The resident thereafter discovered that her laptop, cellphones and TV had been stolen.

“She could not identify her suspect as she could not see without her glasses nor could she say whether the suspect had a weapon or not,” said Spencer.

He added that the suspect gained entry to the house by breaking open a security gate and the front door.

“No injuries occurred and the mode of transport the suspect used is unknown.”

A case has been opened.
