UPDATE: Wits students to march to Hillbrow Police Station

BRAAMFONTEIN – Wits is relatively quiet at the moment, with a march planned later on.

Wits University staff returned to the institution in relative calm on 3 October, while students have planned to take their #FeesMustFall protest to Hillbrow Police Station.

The university revealed the day before, after polling its students on whether the academic programme should resume on 3 October, that staff would return to work on Monday, and the academic programme would resume on Tuesday.

The Student Representative Council has asked all Wits students to attend a meeting at Solomon Mahlangu House, after which they plan to march to Hillbrow Police Station.
