NEWLANDS – Suburban Crime Prevention (SCP) security and the Sophiatown Police worked well together when they tackled a housebreaking incident in Northcliff.

Lt Col Claassen said that the suspects appeared on 30 June in the Sophiatown Magistrates’ Court on charges of housebreaking .

The Sophiatown Police also conducted a high-density operation that was a major success. “They arrested seven suspects for drug-related crimes during the operation held from the 28 June to 30 June.

“This operation was in aid to curb the current drug-related crimes within the Sophiatown policing precinct,” said Lt Col Claassen. She said that they managed to confiscate various drugs such as 1 gram of crystal meth, 4 grams of CAT and 7 mandrax tablets.
