Ahmed Nawab’s ordeal started immediately after three men hijacked his car and took him for a nightmare ride in his own vehicle.
All Nawab could do was pray for his life during the hour-long ordeal in the hands of the armed men.
“It was hectic,” said Nawab. “It was three guys, one with a knife and another one armed with a gun” he explained.

Nawab was hijacked in Mayfair during the evening of 16 June. Three men tied him up and put him in his car, after which they searched for an ATM where they forced him to withdraw money from his account.
“They pushed me inside the car and drove around with me,” he explained. The three men later dumped him and drove off. His vehicle was later recovered in Orlando, Soweto.
Nawab went to the Johannesburg Central Police station to lay a charge. Police could not immediately confirm the incident.
