Man in critical condition after being dragged 200m

A man was critically injured after he was knocked by a vehicle and dragged about 200m near Westpark Cemetery on 29 May.

According to ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, the man was apparently riding his bicycle when he was knocked by a car and dragged along the street.

“Upon assessment of the patient, paramedics found that the man sustained multiple severe injuries. The man was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care,” Bodasing said.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
