Two tuckshop workers from a shop in Amatola Crescent in Claremont were shot during an alleged robbery this afternoon.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said that ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and discovered two people lying at the door of the shop.
“Upon assessment, it was found that the men, understood to be in their twenties, sustained moderate to serious injuries. They were treated and transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further medical care. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is unknown. Authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” said Bodasing.
Police comment is awaited.
