Sophiatown SAPS arrested three suspected drug dealers in possession of numerous illegal items on 13 February.
The police acted on information they had received regarding drug dealers at a home in Bosmont.
According to Sophiatown SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer TJ de Bruyn, “The police arrived at the house and searched a clothing closet where they found firearms and ammunition.”
Among the recovered items were:
• 3 unlicensed firearms
• 420 mandrax tablets
• 25 X 9mm bullets
• 33 X .38 bullets
• 3 X .45 bullets
• 3 X .22 bullets
The three suspects have been arrested on charges of unlicensed firearms and possession of drugs. The police continue their investigation of suspected drug dealing in the area.
