GALLERY: Laerskool Esperanza’s new Grade 1 class

Laerskool Esperanza started the new year with their new class of Grade 1s. The children came with their parents who then left them in the hands of the teachers.

“I am glad that this day has finally come, my child has been so excited to start big school,” one parent said. She added that even though it was an emotional start to the day, her son would be learning new things and starting his journey toward Matric.

Another parent, Thandi Mokaleng said that she too was happy that this day has arrived. “My son was a bit weepy in the morning but when we arrived at the school he became so excited,” Mokaleng said.
