Twitter shoots from 140 characters to 10k

Social network Twitter are looking to expand their posts from 140 characters to 10 000 in the next three months.

Users have been using 140 characters for as long as Twitter has been running and they will now be given more room to express themselves.

Twitter is however, trying to maintain the same feel when scrolling through tweets as with using 140 characters but they will provide an option to expand a tweet.

Twitter users did not take the news well and expressed themselves on Twitter using the hashtag #Twitter10k.

Users are not impressed with 10k characters and did not hold back on their opinions. Some users also stated that 140 characters is more to the point and makes reading through tweets easier.

Twitter users also went as far as suggesting other changes that can be implemented such as introducing an edit option and showing Instagram pictures.
