Hoërskool Linden is proud to celebrate its 24th year of a 100 per cent pass rate and 244 distinctions for the Matrics of 2015.
The school also boasted that 89 per cent of its pupils achieved a Bachelor’s degree pass.
Hoërskool Linden’s academic deputy head Dr Nico van Niekerk said the school is proud that the 2015 Matric pupils managed to maintain the school’s fantastic academic reputation.
“We are so proud of our pupils and teachers who maintained the high academic standards even after the passing of our academic deputy head last year. During this time we think of him with great respect and gratitude for paving the academic way at the school for years,” said Van Niekerk.
Headmaster Jorrie Jordaan said he is also proud of the pupils.
“I believe that every pupil who has matriculated at Hoërskool Linden in 2015 will fill out their shoes in the position they land in life,” said Jordaan.
Van Niekerk said one pupil achieved nine distinctions, another eight distinctions while four pupils achieved seven distinctions and another four pupils, six distinctions respectively.
Alex Coetzee was proud to say he received two distinctions – one for information technology and the other for life orientation.
“I am so impressed with my results and excited to commence my studies in 2016 at the University of Pretoria,” said Coetzee.
Coetzee will be studying information technology.
Tania Verburg said she is astonished with her results as she has increased with about 20 per cent in each subject.
Verburg received one distinction for civil technology and will be studying quantity surveying in 2016 at the [University of Pretoria: https://www.up.ac.za/].
Tiaan Roos walked away with five distinctions and said he is looking forward to the freedom he will have as a student in 2016.
