29 years of success for De La Salle

VICTORY PARK – De La Salle Holy Cross College continues its 100 per cent pass rate.

De La Salle Holy Cross College High School in Victory Park congratulated its 2015 matriculants on their National Senior Certificate IEB results on 30 December. A 100 per cent pass rate has been achieved in the 29-year history of the Amalgamated College.

The top three pupils were Grace Boroughs, with nine distinctions, Caitlyn Mahony with eight distinctions and listed on the IEB Commendable Achievement List (within top 5 per cent in five subjects and scored 80 per cent or more for life orientation), and Candice Elliott, with seven Distinctions and listed on the IEB Outstanding Achievement List (within top 5 per cent in six subjects and scored 80 per cent or more for life orientation).

Four pupils from the school were in the top 1 per cent of IEB pupils across six subjects. An average of 74.3 per cent was achieved in the grade, with an average of 2.7 subject distinctions per pupil.

“We would like to acknowledge all of our pupils’ efforts, from those who achieved excellence against the national benchmarks, to those who triumphed personally to achieve their full potential. We are incredibly proud of each and every pupil as well as our staff – congratulations to all of you,” said Debbie Harris, principal of the college.
