Convicted murderer, Oscar Pistorius, was granted R10 000 bail by the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on 8 December.
It was reported that the paralympian planned to file an application for leave to appeal to the Constitutional Court against the Supreme Court of Appeal’s ruling.
Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on 14 February 2013 and was granted bail under strict conditions of house arrest and electronic monitoring.
His trial was provisionally postponed to 18 April next year and if the application for leave at the Constitutional Court fails, the new proceedings would start in Pretoria High Court before Judge Thokozile Masipa next year.
The bail amount must be paid before 11 December.
