UPDATE: Girl (9) bites kidnapper to escape

NORTHCLIFF – It has surfaced the the kidnapped girl bit her kidnapper to escape.

The nine-year-old girl who was kidnapped outside her school in Northcliff on 24 November bit her kidnapper to escape, it has surfaced. Fairland Police spokesperson Constable Michael Kgatla revealed that a man, wearing black, forced the girl into walking with him through the streets around her school for two hours before he offered her pills.

She bit the man’s hand and ran away. A woman found the girl crying in a nearby street and took her back to the school. The girl’s parents reported the incident to Fairland Police, who opened a case of kidnapping. “No arrests have been made yet. We are investigating the incident and hopefully a suspect can be found with the help of the community,” Const Kgatla added. He encouraged residents who knew anything about the incident to contact Fairland Police. “People must be careful,” he said. “They must look after their kids. Little girls must not be left running around alone outside school. They can be targeted.”
