Power outages expected during Roosevelt Park substation maintenance
ROOSEVELT PARK – City Power will do routine maintenance work at the Roosevelt Park substation in November.
City Power announced that there will be planned power outages in areas supplied by the Roosevelt Park substation on 5, 6, 17 and 18 November.
Ward 117 Councillor Tim Truluck said that the planned outages will take place due to routine maintenance done on the Roosevelt Park substation that takes place three to four times per year.
The power outages will take place from 10pm on 5 November to 6am the next day, in Berario, Blackheath, East Town, Fairland, Roosevelt Park, Montgomery Park, Montroux, Northcliff, Risidale, Valeriedene and Waterval Estate.
More power outages will take place from 10pm on 17 November to 6am the next day in Blackheath, Fairland, Northcliff and Valeriedene. Residents are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times, as the supply may be restored at any time.
