LINDEN – Police are asking for any information about an elderly man who was robbed of his ATM card.

SAPS is urgently searching for a robbery victim who was robbed of his ATM card on 26 October. Spokesperson for the Linden SAPSConstable Carol Mulamo said that police responded to information they received from bystanders about two suspects who allegedly robbed an elderly man at Linden Shopping Centre at around 11.50am.

“It is alleged that the suspects were seen robbing the victim and fled in a white GTI. Police chased and apprehended the suspects on Beyers Naudé Drive. The suspects were arrested and charged with common robbery,” Const Mulamo said. She pointed out that the police recovered a bank card suspected to have been stolen from the victim.

She added that the suspects were due to appear on 28 October at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of common robbery.
