COTTESLOE – Home receives wheelchairs thanks to Northcliff Rotary Club

Northcliff Rotary Club, with the assistance of PhysioNet, made a generous donation of 17 specialised wheelchairs and two walkers to Woodside Sanctuary, Cottesloe, on 19 September. The club has been supporting Woodside Sanctuary with various needs since 2012.

“We are incredibly grateful for this unbelievable gesture of kindness from Northcliff Rotary Club and PhysioNet,” said Kirsten Williams, general manager of the sanctuary. “Their generous assistance has greatly helped to enhance the quality of life of those in our care.”

Woodside Sanctuary provides full-time residential care for 92 people, all of whom have severe-to-profound intellectual and physical disabilities. Many of the sanctuary’s residents do not have the means that allow them to obtain the kind of specialised equipment they require in order to live in the most comfortable and fulfilling way possible, and it is only through donations and funding that they can aspire to do so.
