BREAKING: Shot fired as Linden family is robbed

LINDEN – Alleged robbers fire bullet into the ground during Linden robbery.

A family in 10th Street, Linden, was robbed at gunpoint in the evening of 21 September.

The suspects allegedly fired off one round into the family’s floor before leaving.

A father and his young son appeared at the gate that night visibly shaken, and were too traumatised to speak to the media.

Pexco Security and Training Guarding Division manager Fareed Hoosen explained that three men allegedly broke into the back of the house with a brick, and with one pistol between them, robbed the family of a laptop, iPads and cellphones.

Some time during the robbery, the men allegedly fired a bullet into the ground.

Questions were sent to Linden Police Captain Alex Vermaak, and comment is awaited.
