Northcliff has a ball after paying it forward

NORTHCLIFF – Northcliff High School holds its Debs and Squires Ball.

Northcliff High School held its annual Debs and Squires Ball at Mellow Oaks, Ruimsig, on 5 September. The debs and squires started their journey in September last year and have worked tirelessly throughout the year in order to qualify to attend the ball. During the year-long journey, the debs and squires gain many valuable skills including organisation, communication, responsibility and perseverance.

They learn to appreciate what they have and to ‘pay it forward’ – their fundraising efforts go to making improvements within the school but also to support St Laurence’s Children’s Haven in Discovery. This haven provides a warm, loving and secure environment for abused, neglected or abandoned children.

The school has a proud tradition of supporting local charities for the betterment of the local community. The ball was an elegant affair and certainly one of the highlights of the year with both the learners and their parents celebrating the year’s achievements.
