NORTHGATE – Entrepreneurs and franchise owners from all over the country connect at Ticketpro Dome from 10–13 September.

The Business Entrepreneurship and Franchise Expo takes place from 10–13 September at the Ticket Pro Dome. This is where entrepreneurs and business owners come to give prospective entrepreneurs insight on business ideas and how to run a successful business.

CNBC news anchor and facilitator for the debate, Nozipho Mabanta led an engaging discussion about access to entrepreneurship in South Africa with a panel of experts that included Prudence Ngomane, Tshepo Phakathi, Xhanti Payi, Simon Mtsuki and Kobus Oostuizen.

Economic researcher and analyst Xhanti Payi emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship empowering not only business owners but also creating employment. “In order for entrepreneurs to succeed in their respective industries they need to be aware that the journey to success is not an easy one. It is essential that they do not succumb to giving up like most business owners during the initial stages of running their business,” he said.

Commodity trader Prudence Ngomane spoke about the challenges she faced as a young woman about being taken seriously in her industry. “I learned that it is important to be assertive and focused when dealing with prospective clients,” she said.

Entrepreneur from Create a Book Diane Steyn said this is a product where they do personalised story books – consumers receive a once-off licence. “It is very affordable, you get to have flexible working hours and be your own boss,” she said.

The Ticket Pro Dome filled with a wide variety of entrepreneurs and business owners who are looking to grow and enter into business ownership. It is also the country’s most credible platform for corporate procurement executives to meet suppliers with first class BEE credentials.
