Schools have fun together

VICTORY PARK – Matric pupils from De La Salle Holy Cross College host their annual Masekhane Day as part of their life orientation portfolio.

Matrics from De La Salle Holy Cross College recently hosted their annual Masekhane Day as part of their life orientation portfolio. It was a fun day for Grade 2 pupils from Sparrow School and De La Salle Holy Cross College Junior School.

The Matrics planned and facilitated the various activities that took place on 5 August where the pupils participated in games such as musical chairs, and an obstacle course. The children were divided into teams with matching T-shirts, and after the games a lunch was served. The college’s head girl Candice Elliott said they enjoyed dressing up and embracing their inner child.

“After spending time planning and organising an activity, it was so rewarding to see the enthusiasm and smiles of the children participating in all the day’s activities,” she said.
