Brrrr, 3 ways to keep warm

JOBURG – Prepare yourself – the cold is coming.

Hang on, rain in July?

Cold weather has hit Joburg with full force and is determined to freeze even the warmest of busy Joburg dwellers.

The South African Weather Service reported temperatures in Johannesburg ranging from 13deg C to 5deg C over the weekend starting on 25 July.

The weather sure has bad timing as for most people its pay day.

Here are three ways to keep warm on the weekend:

1) Cuddle up to your neighbour, whether it is the person standing next to you in the bank line or preferably your family. Share the warmth.

2) Layer, layer, layer. When visiting shops this weekend very often you enter looking like a snowman and very shortly peel back those heavy clothes.

So dress in light layers to avoid needing to carry around mounds of bulky clothes.

3) Stay at home with family or friends. Venturing outside at night is risky with the cold weather.

Make some hot soup and play your favourite board games (Load Shedding proof way to keep entertained).
