Kathrada wishes Archbishop Tutu a speedy recovery

NEWTOWN – Ahmed Kathrada sends his message of support to Archbishop Tutu, after he was admitted to hospital.

Ahmed Kathrada has sent his message of support to the Anglican Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.

According to the media statement, the Archbishop was admitted to a hospital in Cape Town on 14 July, with persistent infection.

Kathrada was speaking at the press conference in Museum Africa, Newtown on 16 July.

We would like wish ‘Comrade Arch’ a speedy recovery. We are praying for him with the rest of South Africa and we hope he recovers from his illness. Both he and his family remain in our thoughts and prayers,” said the ANC stalwart Kathrada.

President Jacob Zuma has also sent his good wishes to Anglican Archbishop Tutu.

“We send our good wishes and support to our world renowned Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Tutu. We wish the medical team that is attending to him all the necessary wisdom and call on all South Africans to keep Archbishop Tutu and his family in their thoughts and prayers,” Zuma said in a statement on 15 July.
