Double burglary in Fairland

Fairland – Two residences in Fairland fall victim to burglaries by the same suspects.

Two houses were burgled in Cornelis Street, Fairland at 12pm on 28 May.

According to Fairland Police, the suspects were allegedly granted access to the residences under false pretenses. Four television sets and pieces of jewellery were among the stolen goods.

Spokesperson at the Fairland Police Station Constable Micheal Kgatha has urged residents to be mindful of granting access to their residences to strangers. “It is extremely risky to allow strangers access to properties. Even if they claim to be fixing electricity, for example. Residents should remain vigilant and mindful of this type of suspects in the area,” he said.

According to the police, the suspects are still at large, and driving a silver Volkswagen Polo.
