Donate female toiletries for those in need

FAIRLAND – Donate women's toiletries to the Fairland Police Station to help those in need.

Fairland SAPS, along with other stations are collecting toiletries for underprivileged girls at schools.

The initiative started at the beginning of May this year and will continue into the 16 Days of Activism period starting from 25 November until 10 December. The station asks that residents drop off any sanitary pads or female toiletries to the Community Service Centre (CSC) at the Fairland Police Station.

This year, 16 Days of Activism is concentrating on the theme, No violence against women and children. “The station is starting early this year in order to create awareness and collect enough items to really make a difference,” said Fairland Police Station spokesperson Constable Michael Kgatla.

The items will be donated to girls at an underprivileged school, which will be selected later.

The Fairland Police Station is located at 87 Sophia Street, Fairland.

Details: Fairland Police 011 478 9413.
