Daddies have their day

NORTHCLIFF – Children and their dads have fun while preparing for Mother's Day at Opti-Baby Northcliff.

Opti-Baby Northcliff nursery school held a Daddy Day on 8 May. All the fathers of children aged one to five years spent the morning at the school. They had loads of fun making presents and cards for moms for Mothers’ Day. Young and old were entertained by Wow Wee’s magic show followed by a picnic on the grounds, which was the cherry on top and made for a fun-filled morning.

“We have this every year to let dads spend time with their children and see what they do at school,” said the nursery school’s manager and owner Marita Louw. She added that fathers are very important in the lives of children, but fathers generally have to work full days which leaves them with little time for their families. “So it was lovely for them [the children] to see their fathers and even dance with them,” Louw concluded.
