Fun day bliss for Brixton Community

BRXTON – Kindom Ways Ministries hosted a successful fun day for the community at the Brixton sports field on 2 May.

Kindom Ways Ministries hosted a ground breaking fun day for the community at the Brixton sports field on 2 May.

Young and old individuals flocked together to engage in a variety of activities.

According to Kindom Ways Ministries’ Thabile Mahlangu, the aim of the fun day was to encourage and develop team work among community members.

Activities including soccer, netball, board games and swing challenged individuals to work as a team.

“We all enjoyed and had fun as we engaged with our community, those who had joined us,” said Mahlangu.

“The event aimed at forging community links and increasing neighbourhood participation – we intend to have more activities involving the community, displaying kingdom culture and love to all,” she said.

Mahlangu concluded that “action to achieve strong communities is usually most effective when it is led by the people it most concerns.”
