Five worst Mother’s Day gifts

JOBURG – If gifting is not your strongest ability, here are a few items you should not buy this Mother’s Day.

JOBURG – Mother’s Day is supposed to be special for all mothers.

Actor Ashton Kutcher has gone big this year by remodelling his mother’s home just to say ‘thank you’.

Women are arguably the hardest people to please, however, some gifts are just a NO for this occasion.

Here are the five worst Mother’s Day gifts:

Mother’s Day is the day to tell mothers how awesome and great they are and not to give them parenting tips.

Nothing says, “I love you, but I wish you were thinner,” like the latest diet or exercise video. A lot of women struggle with weight – especially after giving birth. Be sensitive to their weight issues and stay away from weight-loss items.

Stay away from anything that screams, ‘household chores’. Mother’s Day should not evoke ‘work’ – no vacuums, blenders, or the like.

Buy items that are just for her and not items Dad will use more than her. Such as installing a TV in the bedroom wall and lingerie.

Stay away from cream gifts that will make her feel insecure about her skin or looks. Tell her how beautiful she is – rather than buying her an anti-aging cream to remind her of how old she is.
