BREAKING NEWS: Man dies while walking home

NEWLANDS – A Newlands resident met his death on his way home from work when he suffered a heart attack.

A Newlands resident in his 50s reportedly suffered a heart attack and died while on his way back home in the evening of 24 March.

It is understood that the man was walking  from work when he suffered the heart attack, and approached a bakkie that was parked nearby, seemingly rubbing his chest as he sat on the back.

According to the driver of the bakkie, who was not too far from his vehicle when the incident happened, he (the driver) approached his vehicle in an attempt to question the man’s actions, only to find that the man had died.

Sophiatown Detective Services are currently on scene, along with the deceased’s friends and family.
