Ella Bella and Catherine Constantinides are the founders of the Miss Earth South Africa leadership programme where they inspire and encourage young women around our beautiful country to get involved and do their bit for people and planet.

“It starts with us and, as women, we are the movers and shakers of communities, so it’s up to us to shake things up and get people thinking about ways in which they can help Mother Earth. When we look after Mother Earth, then she is able to continue to look after us,” the beauties said.

These castings are interviews and workshop sessions where all applicants are exposed to issues of the environment and ways in which they can contribute and be involved whether they proceed to the next round of the Miss Earth or not.

“A project day is also part of these castings and you are able to engage with the community and make a direct impact. Each woman goes away feeling empowered and educated on the plight facing the environment.”
