Kindergarden pupils shows some love for Valentine’s

Johannesburg - Valentines day celebrated in style.

Regenbogen-Kids kindergarten at the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) celebrated Valentine’s Day in style. The pupils were dressed in red and white to commemorate the special day. They also participated in a picnic where they shared food and sweets with one another.

Principle at Regenbogen-Kids Brigitte Helmrich was very excited that the pupils could have fun on Valentine’s Day.

“The celebration of Valentine’s Day at the Regenbogen-Kids does not aim to embrace the commercial element of the day. Instead, it’s all about instilling values of friendship, respect, trust and tolerance. This is highlighted by the bring-and-share picnic where our little ones bring their own food and share with one another.”

Teacher Kirsten Dunn was delighted in how the pupils came together and enjoyed the effort made.

“The Valentine’s Day celebration at the Regenbogen-Kids is a really special occasion and this year was made extra special as everybody embraced the theme in what was a kaleidoscope of red and white,” Dunn said.
