Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe fell down a staircase on 4 February as he walked off a podium after addressing supporters at the Harare International Airport.
The 90-year-old was captured falling by journalist on the scene, however, some journalists were reportedly ordered to delete the photo off their records.
But, that didnβt stop the images from doing the rounds on social media, with his memes trending in South Africa on Twitter.
Mugabe had just returned from Ethiopia where he took over the rotating chairmanship of the African Union.
The President who has ruled the country since its independence fell on his knees. It has been reported that he was quickly helped up by his staff and walked to a waiting car.
Residents have since taken to Twitter to express their views with a few edited images making the rounds.
