Tips for finding suitable student accommodation

JOHANNESBURG – Safety should be on the top of your list when looking for a place to stay while studying at a tertiary institution.

With school behind them some of the pupils will go and study at a university or campus and this means that some of them may no longer be able to live with their parents and this is where finding accommodation comes in.

“The universities and colleges simply do not have enough accommodation on campus for all their students and it falls on the students and their parents to find a suitable spot for them to live and study for the duration of their tertiary education,” said Craig McMurray, who works with student accommodation.

“Accommodation plays a large role in the success of a student’s tertiary education as this is their primary learning environment after their classes.”

McMurray gave the following tips for parents and students whothat are on the lookout for accommodation:

“Keep this list close while you are shopping around for accommodation because it will mean that your child will be living in a safe, secure and nurturing environment that will make it easier for them to achieve the most out of student life,” concluded McMurray.
